Fund for Orphan Sponsorship

Since 1983 this program allows donors to support a single girl by contributing a designated amount per year. Currently the cost of sponsoring an orphan is $5400 per year. This covers schooling, health care, transportation, food, clothing, room & board, recreational activities and other life necessities.  In addition to ensuring that basic needs are met, the program also facilitates relationship-building between sponsors and recipients through letters and visitations.  Interested parties may contribute to a full or partial sponsorship either individually, or recruit a family, classroom or other group to contribute collectively to sponsor an orphan. 

Individual Donations

Individuals may donate through check, cash or bank wire.  Designation may be made for a donation to go towards a specific project, or the amount may go into the Foundation’s general fund for use at the Foundation’s discretion. 

Alms

As a certified organization, the Imam Sadr Foundation is authorized to receive alms. Payments against one’s assets in the form of Zakat can also be made. We would also encourage you to consider the Foundation when making your Khoms gifts and donations during Ramadan and throughout the year.

Organizational Grants

The Imam Sadr Foundation regularly accepts grants from governmental and non-governmental organizations. Prospective donor organizations should consider the goals and purposes of the Foundation in order to ensure cohesion of partner interests. A clear proposal should be developed detailing how the partnership would be equally beneficial.
